In the 1st part of the video we divided parrots into 3 categories in terms of safety. Obviously, assuming that the hand-reared were actually properly hand-reared, and then properly trained, which was mentioned in our videos on proper hand-rearing: “Choosing Your Parrot – Proper Hand-Rearing”  “Don’t Disturb the Parrot’s Nature – Proper Hand-Rearing” and on training “Good manners – part 1 – how to prevent predominating by parrots”  “Good manners – part 2 – how to wean parrot of predominating”  However, we haven’t been well understood by everyone and we have been accused of believing that all parrots are safe. We don’t think like that. Those which were taken from nests while parent-rearing, and hand-reared at a push, and additionally too early socialised, have already a distorted psyche and training will not help them to be completely trusted. So we’ve created for them a new – 4th category in terms of safety for people. When it comes to those which were reared in aviary flocks, they will never be tamed to the extent as hand-reared ones. Those which were hand-reared and joined with a flock, acquire habits, which modify their psyche as well. It regards also parrot houses where parrots also live in flocks. Hence, be cautious! These ones were already classified as dangerous in the 1st part of our video. Watch the video “Choosing Your Parrot – what Parrots not to Buy?”
In our videos starring among others parrots from the Parrot Shop in Warsaw, Poland.
